Privacy Policy
Effective August 25, 2026
BeDrop is designed to keep your saved content on your device. This policy explains what information BeDrop handles and when information may be processed by Apple or websites you choose to access.
Information stored on your device
BeDrop stores the content you choose to save, including links, link metadata, images, text, notes, folders, status flags, and relevant dates. This information is stored locally on your device. The current version of BeDrop does not provide an account system or upload your library to a BeDrop server.
Links and website previews
When you save a link, BeDrop may use Apple’s Link Presentation framework to request a title, image, and other preview metadata from the linked website. When you open a link, Safari, an in-app browser, or another app may connect to that website. The website and its service providers may receive standard network information, such as your IP address, under their own privacy policies. BeDrop does not receive this website traffic.
Clipboard
BeDrop accesses clipboard content when you choose to paste or save it. Clipboard content is used to create the item you requested and is not sent to a BeDrop server.
Private items and authentication
Face ID and Touch ID authentication are handled by iOS. BeDrop does not receive or store your biometric data. If you create a BeDrop passcode, a protected passcode verifier is stored using the iOS Keychain. The Private feature controls access within the app; it does not separately encrypt the underlying saved item files.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. BeDrop does not receive your payment card details. The app checks App Store purchase entitlements to determine whether Pro features are available.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
BeDrop does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking. BeDrop does not sell personal information.
Retention and deletion
Your saved content remains on your device until you delete it. Items moved to Trash remain stored until you permanently delete them. Removing BeDrop from your device also removes its locally stored app data, subject to iOS backup and restoration behavior.
Children’s privacy
BeDrop is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a BeDrop service.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when BeDrop’s features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are published.
